Advocating for Enhanced Compensation and Professional Standards in Women's Football

At Fêmea Management, we are committed to championing equitable compensation and elevating professional standards for female football players. Despite the significant growth and increased visibility of women's football, a substantial pay gap persists. FIFA's 2025 report highlights that the average annual salary for female professional players globally is approximately $10,900, with Tier 1 club players earning around $24,030, while those in Tier 3 clubs earn as little as $2,805.

This financial disparity often forces talented athletes to juggle additional employment alongside their football careers, hindering their ability to fully dedicate themselves to the sport. We firmly believe that female footballers should receive fair remuneration that reflects their skills and contributions, enabling them to focus entirely on their athletic development.

Furthermore, we advocate for the establishment of comprehensive professional frameworks that support female athletes holistically. This includes access to elite training facilities, robust physical and mental health provisions, and career transition support. Implementing such structures not only enhances on-field performance but also fosters long-term career sustainability. Our mission is to collaborate with clubs, governing bodies, and stakeholders to implement these changes, ensuring that women's football is recognized and respected as a viable and esteemed profession.

Pregnancy within the realm of elite sports

One of our key focuses at Fêmea Management is fostering transparency and shifting attitudes surrounding pregnancy within the realm of elite sports. ‼️

We advocate for creating an environment that embraces and accommodates parenthood alongside a professional athletic career, should the athlete so desire. Currently, there exists a gap in knowledge, attitudes, and financial support in this regard. We often question why female football players retire prematurely, contributing to the relatively low average age of retirement. Female athletes compete at the highest level throughout their fertile years, leading to undue pressure to make choices regarding family planning. It is our belief that female athletes should not have to sacrifice the opportunity to become mothers in order to pursue their sporting ambitions, particularly when these aspirations are entirely compatible. Our mission is to promote and optimize conditions for athletes who choose to balance parenthood with their careers, striving to normalize this aspect of professional sports.
